British Isles Leadership Conference
Friday evening 11th & Saturday 12th January 2008
"Family, Faith and the Future"
The health of our leadership is the health of our churches. The unity of our leadership is the unity of our churches. Maturity in our congregations depends on maturing the leadership. Faithful and joy-filled memberships require faith-filled and joyful leaders. The writer of the Hebrews asked his readers to, "Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith." (Heb 13:7). We want to be leaders worthy of remembrance and imitation. This will require growth in our conviction and compassion. We need each other for this to be an ever-growing reality.
The past five years have seen many changes in leadership. Some of us have stayed in post, others have risen to stand in the gap. God has preserved us and loved us. Now is the time for our churches to reconnect in relationship, to build a sense of family again throughout these Islands, to refresh one another's faith and to discuss the future. All members of leadership teams and trustees in the UK & Ireland are invited to the Brentwood Holiday Inn on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th January for an inspirational time of practical biblical teaching and training from many brothers and sisters (there will be a program for women) including Mike Fontenot visiting from Hampton Roads, Virginia.
Come to renew your vision, to find encouragement, to share good news, to rub shoulders with people bearing similar burdens to yourself and to start discussing how we can work together for the greater glory of God in these Islands. It is time to "Proclaim his Praise in the Islands".
