Our child protection policy states that all people who work with children, teens and vulnerable adults should have an enhanced disclosure CRB check which is renewed every three years. Each congregation has a designated recruiter to manage this process. You can find out who your local recruiter is by speaking to a member of your leadership group or your children's ministry coordinator.
All applicants must have been an active member of your local congregation for a minimum of six months and they must be able to provide a verbal reference from someone in your local ministry. Needless to say, everyone serving must have goine through the study process including talking about their life and sharing their sin struggles and have been committed to ongoing discipling relationships within the local body to be eligible to serve. In the case of someone moving in from another congregation a count the cost pastoral interview with a member of the local leadership team or a designated family group leader must have taken place.
Any exceptions to this policy must be agreed with Barry Lamb.
