This year's teen camp will be focused on the topic of "Righteous Rebellion". It takes a big heart and a lot of courage to take a stand against the ways of the world. However, those who choose to take such a stand pursue a life of adventure, passion, conviction and meaning.
The world is driven by an endless and ever increasing thirst for wealth, power and selfish gratification and yet it leaves people feeling empty, bitter and unfulfilled. The temptation for all of us is to pursue the same ends which inevitably lead to the same results ...but there is a better way to live. Our God is so loving that he allows us to make our own choices about such things. The question is one of whether we pursue the ways of this world or do we take a stand in righteous rebellion to the ways of this world and place our deepest trust in the ways of our God.
This will be a spiritually focused camp and we insist that everyone who comes to the camp understands and accepts this. We are planning a great time together and some activities that will call you to step out of your comfort zones and take some challenges and you will be expected to join in with all the activities. If you don't want to get involved or are looking for a time just to hang out then this will not be the camp for you.
We promise that if you put your heart into the camp, then you will get a lot out of it. It will set you up to face an uncertain world with confidence, security and peace. God wants you to have that kind of life and he respects you enough to allow you to make that choice. You will come away clear about the spiritual choices that you face.
There will be a Bible Quiz on the book of Acts so get brushing up on that and there will be a talent show during camp so start rehearsing!
The cost of this event is £200 per head. I urge local congregations to offer subsidies where possible or make appeals for donations so that if teens wish to go to this event they are not hindered by the cost.
