We require a number of leaders and helpers to assist with teen & preteen camp this Summer. The Preteen camp runs from saturday 23rd - Monday 25th August (Bank Holiday). Teen camp runs from Tuesday 26th - Sunday 31st August. Transport will be available from Central London for both camps, although the main leaders for teen camp will be expected to be at camp for a few hours before the teens arrive.

We are looking primarily for people with experience of working with teenagers / youth either in a professional capacity or as a volunteer in the church or outside the church (e.g. Scouts). All volunteers must be a member of ICC Missions or an affiliated congregation.

Teen Camp applicants should be a minimum of 20 years of age and either hold a current valid enhanced disclosure (Criminal Records Bureau check) or willing to apply for one.

Preteen camp applicants should include some parents of preteens attending. I would also hope that some of the baptised teens would be willing to participate in this role. This means that you will be at Hill End for a whole week! Are you up to the challenge?

The role demands a lot of energy, enthusiasm, patience and spiritual maturity. You will need to be able to assert authority in an appropriate manner at appropriate times balanced with the ability to engage and listen to the teens / preteens that you work with.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead a small group through teen / preteen camp offering counsel, direction, friendship, support and encouragement whilst at the same time ensuring that safety and security guidelines are followed and the camp code of conduct is observed.

This is a very demanding role, your energy will be spent by the end of the camp but it is extremely rewarding and has the potential of having an eternal spiritual impact on both yourself and those you work with.
